The Skeleton Lake Of India

In Utrakhand, India, about 5000 metres above sea level there is a lake of skeleton with submerged of 100 of humans whose identity is still a mystery. This lake was discovered in 1941 by a British forest explorer.

In the beginning it was believed to  be a group of Japanese soldier who died during World War 2 due to cold. Another theory claims it to be a part of ritual suicide but, these skeletons are actually spread throughout the lake and are not gathered together in a single place.

In 2004, a team of scientist did carbon dating and found that they are from 850 AD. Cracks were found at the back of some skulls, which suggests that they all were hit from behind. On the basis of this scientists developed another theory that  this place faced a natural disaster.

Another recent shocking discovery found that these are 2 different groups of people with two very different genetics that there is about a gap of 1000 years between their deaths which cancels out the theory of natural disasters. At least 2 big events have happened here. Also, there is no evidence of weapon or war, ritual suicide, murder or disease.
